How it all began...
Shri B. M. Shah College of Pharmacy, run by The M. L. Gandhi Higher
Education Society, was established in 1991, for providing better
education, practical training in the field of pharmacy.
Modasa is well known for its best education from the primary to the
postgraduate level. Apart from the traditional colleges in Modasa, the
first technical institute (Government Engineering College) was started by
the government of Gujarat in 1986, for which our management had given
full support.
Forty five percentage share of total Indian pharmaceutical production
is manufactured from Gujarat. Hence looking the need of pharmacist in
Gujarat, our visionary management had established Diploma Pharmacy
College in 1991 as well as degree Pharmacy College in 1998 with the help
of generous nation by Shri Bhogilal Muljidas Shah and Modasa Nagrik
Sahakari Bank Limited (MNSBL). Both the institutions have grown to their
excellence and become prestigious at national level.
Dr. N. M. Patel has served as pioneering principal of both the
colleges. Fourteen batches of about 500 students have already passed out
of the college. So many students have migrated abroad for higher studies,
few have pursuing their higher studies in India and the rest of them are
working with different institute/ industries.
The college is well equipped with sophisticated instrument and highly
informative books and journals.
The college has been able to achieve its goals only by the whole
hearted and tireless support as well as positive attitude of the
management in every aspects.
